Sam Steen

Born in the music mines deep below Ara City Towers sometime in the 1980's, Sam enjoyed a normal childhood toiling in the mines, excavating cassette tapes, vinyl records and later CD's. However as he grew older he became tired of digging the discs from the earth and never getting to listen to the music within them... And so in 2004 he successfully led the Music Miners Rebellion against the Surface Dwelling DJ's and freed his people. But like so many of the emancipated miners, he found it difficult to adapt to life on the surface, and so in 2009 he returned to Ara City Radio as an intern. Now though because he's cheap and available, Sam is back, not as a lowly music miner or as an intern, but as an equal....

Sam now presents the Freshly Squeezed Breakfast Show between 6am and 9am, Monday to Friday, bringing you the best in new and classic pop and rock music from around the world, (he may have lied about the mines) along with news, reviews, interviews and lots of laughs...

Ben Andrews
Ben AndrewsBen has been a familiar voice on ARA City since the early days when he honed his skills co-hosting the Breakfast Show. He then took a sabbatical to Australia where he completed his Masters in Film at UTS in Sydney. On returning to Luxembourg he rejoined ARA City to host the Eclectic Lunch. Sadly in late 2011, Ben was kidnapped and taken hostage from ARA City Towers. He was detained in a dark cellar for months where he was forced to listen to awful music. In the early days of 2012, a Task Force from ARA City raided the darkened cellar where Ben was held and in a spectacular operation managed to free him. Within hours he was back on-air hosting a new show, but only after he had re sworn allegance to the Ministry of Good Musical Taste.

Ben is also a Director at This is Radar
Stephen Steps Lowe Minimize
Steps
Who does this guy think he is?
Stephen Lowe or Steps as he has become known to the wider reaches of Luxembourg, has never really escaped his fascination with music. And so once more he returns to the cloud shrouded Ara City Radio towers, replete with greying hair, thanks to two wonderful nippers and a summertime marriage. A PE teacher by education, an everyman by trade, Steps speaks his mind, even when his mind is occupying a strange hinterland where all the word's a stage and he's suffering from a bout of 'the fear'. Loves all facets of music and film and loathes indecisiveness. Or does he?

Mark Weedon

Mark Weedon joined the team in 2008 as the station’s news presenter.

On completing his degree in French and German at Oxford University, Mark wandered over to the Career’s Office to hear what they suggested he do next. “Owff to the City with you young man… option trading that’s the thing …”.. So owff he went and spent many happy years arranging deals and launching products – the price of which often went down as well as down.

Sensing the time was right for a change of direction Mark has opted instead for a regime of very early starts to bring you all the latest stories from around the world and around the corner.
